President Obama said the other day that, "What you're now seeing is ... profit and earning ratios are starting to get to the point where buying stocks is a potentially good deal if you've got a long-term perspective on it. Businesses are starting to see opportunities for investment and potential hiring," he said. "We are going to start creating jobs again." Obama said he wasn't focused on "the day-to-day gyrations of the stock market, but the long-term ability for the United States and the entire world economy to regain its footing." he compared the Dow Jones Industrial Average to a daily tracking poll in politics. "You know, it bobs up and down day to day," he said. "And if you spend all your time worrying about that, then you're probably going to get the long-term strategy wrong."
So, what you will be doing specifically today are three things.

I picked safeway beacuse i work for safeway. Also because everyone needs to eat so i figured this was a good stock to invest in. Safeway has always done well so i am confident it wil make me money. Also i shop at safeway so i am helping myself.
ReplyDeleteI invested in honda because honda has the hybrids coming out. Also the company has a lot of cars. The company sells a lot of cars, they are everywhere. Lastly because everyone needs a comuter car.
I invested in toyota motors because i know people that work there. The company isnt doin that well but i have confidence in it. Also toyota has been here for a while so i think they will last a while. Lastly i jess like the cars :)
I invested in evergreensolar because it semed to be a promising company. New technology is what we need and i think this company will suceed. Also I support being earthg friendly. Lastly Because i heard the company is the shizzzznit
The stocks that I bought is telecommunications system Inc. I don't know why I bought this stock and I don't know if it is a good trade. The second stock I bought is Coca-Cola Bottling Co. I thought this would be a good trade because Coca-Cola is popular. The third stock I bought is ATP Oil & Gas Corp.This was probably not a good trade. The fourth stock I bought is Health Care REIT, Inc.

ReplyDeleteI chose to pick Microsoft, Ford Motors, Blizzard Entertainment and Starbucks.
I chose these four company's because i believe that they will be up for the majority of the time.. The reason why i believe this is because i bought very reliable stocks, in my opinion.
I invested in Blizzard entertainment because it is a gaming company and people are getting laid off and more people have time for games.
I invested in Starbucks because people are and never will stop drinking coffee.
I invested in Microsoft because people are always getting computers and using them, and Microsoft is what powers the computer.
I invested in Ford Motors because they are a American made cars and i need to stand behind them an invest my money to help American motor company's make more fuel efficient cars.
