ReplyDeleteI believe that this is a bad idea. it is a bad idea because we do not need to sacrifice anymore troops. Obama needs to be more responsible with the deployment of US troops into Afghanistan. Not to mention the huge amount of money that it would cost to deploy troops there and supply them while they are their.
ReplyDeleteI believe that this might be the solution to all our homeland problems. Even though this maybe a huge sacrifice it is necessary hat we keep out all the terrorist. The troops tat are going will be trained and may be able to take out the terrorist and al Quada and we will be done with this. Obama may be following the footsteps of Bush, but it may be the smartest decision right now.

The topic we read today included the issue of Obama and what he plans to do with the current issues in Afghanistan. In my honest opinion, I believe that he is getting the country entangled with the country of Afghanistan. However, it's not that I don't believe he is trying to do the right thing, but I believe now is not the best time to handle things outside of our country when in fact there are certain problems he needs to work out in his own. Not only does this outline cost more money we don't have, it also causes certain problems and issues we have to face in the near future.
I believe Obama's plan is a smart one. He has planned to increase troops in Afghanistan and aid to Pakistan. This will stabilize the region and finish off Al Qaeda. If we left Afghanistan now it would become a breeding ground for terrorism again and we mite half to deal with it later. I think its better to deal with it now and get it over with than to deal with it again later. Obamas plan is smarter than bushes in the way that he is going to set benchmarks for Afghanistan and hes is going to be more responsible with the money he puts into the war.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion about these few articles is, I think that this is a very bad idea because president Barack Obama is choosing to re-evaluate troops for specific levels and moments in the next year.

I chose these four companies for a few reasons,first, they seemed interesting to me, second, many of these companies have to do with oil gas, industrial, and consumer goods.

i think that we should send more troops over there to help control any situations that might arise. But i think we shouldn't send 17000 more i think thats a little extreme. We only need a couple there to help out.

Maybe reposition the troops already out there is a better situation we do not need to be in other country's when our county is going to the bottom of the food chain.
ReplyDeleteI believe that this is a good idea, to aid afghanistan. The alkidi is my main worry within all this catastrophe. If we help them succeed, we will help prevent future terrorist attacks. This is the basic breeding ground for all terrorists. And if we don't dare to aid them, we're only asking for trouble. Hes being much more responsible with the money, telling us who its going out to, where its going, and why. If we finish this here, it's over once and for all. Instead of this 'badminton' game, of going there, coming back, going there and coming back. etc. He has his plan set out, knowing what he wnats to accomplish, and knowing what he NEEDS to accomplish. This will be a great thing.

From the article I have read to think that I have a pretty good understanding on whats going on. President Obama is trying to keep our country safe and unlike Mr. Bush he is planning correctly. He is plan on how much money to spend and how many troops to send without just sending them out blindly. I support Mr. Obama 100% and believe that his decisions will be for the better.

I believe that since we mad this mess we must fix it. Now that we have the support from both Afghanistan and NATO we can finish this war and go back home.

I think President Obama's idea is alright. The leaders of Pakistan and Afghanistan like Obama's plan. He should try and get the terrorists out of those places. Bush messed up everything in those places but I don't think Obama will handle the situation the way Bush did. So i think he will do a good job with that.

I believe sending in more troops into Afghanistan and Pakistan is a great idea. We need to fix the problem in the middle east now, because what if we pull our troops back, and allow Al Qaeda to fix up a plan on attacking on U.S soil. Yes we are sacrificing more troops, but we could lose millions of lives and risk a war on American land.

I think it really depends on how Obama's plan is going to work .It is a good idea to aid Pakistan and Afghanistan.But it will take more money and more troops and we don't we that.I do think an enough time that Obama can fix Bush's mess But what he needs is time and support.
ReplyDeleteI believe the plan that Obama has is a good decision. Yes he is taking a risk by sending a lot of troops out there but that is what he has to do. He has to protect the united states and try to keep terrorists out. After that suicide bombing its good that we are going and helping Afghanistan, and also having aid to Pakistan. This is showing that Obama is doing a great job for us, and yes he may be following in Bush's footsteps but he isn't the same. He can lead us into victory.And yes we do have to set strict standards in Al Qaeda and Taliban so nothing disruptive happens again.

I think that with a bloody suicide bombing near the Khyber Pass adding urgency to his words, President Obama announced on Friday that he plans to further bolster American forces in Afghanistan, increase aid to Pakistan, and set strict standards for measuring progress in fighting Al Qaeda and the Taliban in both chaotic countries. i think it is a good decision. Even though he is taking a risk he knows what he is doing.

I think Obama is doing a great job by sending people over to Afghanistan because that way it's helping the troops that are over there.Plus we have been wasting to much time trying to come up with one decision.That will hopefully soon make up there minds and send the troops to Afghanistan.i also know he is risking many other peoples life but he has to do that but we are going to loss more money.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, this is a really good idea, that should have been implemented a long time ago, and, more importantly, should have been a basic policy in our war on terror. There needs to be "strict standards for measuring progress in fighting Al Qaeda and the Taliban in both chaotic countries." Otherwise, we'll just keep fighting and fighting, all the while, not knowing whether we're making any difference in defeating the enemy. After we are able to judge our progress, then later we can decide whether to continue or abandon this war.
