If you have time and check your stocks and decide to trade, please also mention in a separate paragraph what stocks you sold and bought and why. But don't do this until after you finish the first assignment as it is worth 100 points

  1. Why are we wasting our money and citizens in a different country? it seems to me like we're just throwing everything we stand for, and that we own (we being the US) into a big black hole. We're sending over 70,000 people over there to risk their lives to try to shape up another country's government. Then were going to waste OUR money on them?! as if we're not going through economic troubles already?

It just seems like were just burning money and killing people.

and what will be the result?

  2. For me it is not a good idea. We are wasting too much money on the war that is pointless. We should be saving our money so that our economic problem will at least shape up. Plus we are sending too many troops to Iraq. We should stop sending troops to save money. because we are wasting too much gas, time and money on a pointless war.

  3. I partially agree with Obama's plan. I just think that it is a little extreme. I do not think that that much money and that many more troops are needed. Even so, it has been evident for a long time that something must be done. I think that this plan has a good chance of working, but the cost is too high for me to think that it should be executed as planned.

i think this i good idea, im all for whatever gets the troops home. theres only so much we can do to help another country. don't you think we've done enough for them. i do.i feel like all we'r doing now is just Babysitting.Bring the loved ones home.

  6. I think its a bad decision to waste that money on the war because we should be saving our money for our economy. We need to save all the money that we can to improve the economy & make it a lot more better where we don't have a lot of people out of jobs & getting unemployment money. We don't need to be wasting our money on something that we don't need to be doing. Why do we have to go over there to shape up their country's government? When we should be improving on our economy.

  7. I do not understand why Obama who says he wants to be out of Iraq is so eager to get into Afganistan. Seems like the same thing to me and I find his behavior shocking in this case. I think Obama needs to explain why we have to get into Afganistan when it is only going to create another endless war. And I am a Democrat and I would of voted for Obama, if i were 18 =) Didn't Obama say from the begining that he was a supporter of the war? Why hasn't he explained why?

  8. I don't think that we should be spending anymore of OUR money that we NEED on other countries. Yeah it is important to keep the terrorists away from the U.S., but I don't think we should be going there to "fix" their country like we did for Iraq. Look at how that turned out.

  9. I feel that this is a good idea, especially if it is going to keep the war away from our home land. I think that if we pull our troops out now, the Taliban will just start plotting another "911" type of attack but it will just be worse and effect us even more. Then we will have more of an issue in the US and that wont help our economic problems at all, yet the US isn't thinking right because they are going to have to spend a lot more money because we aren't pulling out of Afghanistan. This whole thing has just been an unnecessary mess.

  10. im for this idea because a lot of violence is being started in pakistan and afghanistan, about a month ago the sri lanka cricket team was attacked while in pakistan; not only can this amount of violence abrupt in other countries its when its going to happen, india and pakistan aren't on good terms right now and you wouldn't to help that cause; obama is trying to do whats in the best interests of not being attacked by an foreign enemy and also clam other countries so we don't have to keep giving aid to other countries when things aren't good

  11. I think that this is a good idea if what Obama says is true, that al Qaeda is actively planning attacks on the U.S. homeland from its safe haven in Pakistan and we are indeed in danger if not then we should not put more money in to the war and pull all of our troops out. If Obama goes through with this plan then we will just be more into a deficit.

  12. i disagree with this. having a couple of troops out there and spending more money just being there is bad. i think we should have everyone back home already.

  13. It's hard to believe the plan that President Obama set up. How could he convince American on this plan? It is not only risky, but also wasting time, money, and American lives. Also, our president begins to be revealed the contradict in his promise on campaign and his action right now. He is not a soldier, and don't either have any experience on leading a regiment. American stand in a place that is fragile to collapse. What do Mr. Obama do for this country, preventing terror or just mixing up everything by throwing huge money away to another country to do a job that doesn't deserve to spend that much money? It is the most terrible Obama's action so far. I think it would approve negative reactions.

  14. ok soo umm i dont see why it matters to us if theres a bombing all the way over there in a different country.i dont see a need for us to send even more of our troops over there when the troops were supposed to be brought back home.i mean i guess its good to help out another country but its just a bombing and the people arent gonna come back and neither is the guy who did the bombing.yeaaaaa not rly worth us send more troops into training and over to afghanistan.

  15. think President Obama's idea is alright. The leaders of Pakistan and Afghanistan like Obama's plan. He should try and get the terrorists out of those places. Bush messed up everything in those places but I don't think Obama will handle the situation the way Bush did. So i think he will do a good job with that.

  16. I think that it is a good decision. We have been wasting our time over there for a long long time. It is time to bring our troops home so that they can see their families. I think it is time to stop this war.

  17. I disagree with Obama's plan because we need to focus more on the economy than trying to help Afghanistan. Anyways Obama said that he would help bring home the troop not send them back. Also he is using money that we need, to help a different country.

  18. I disagree with sending troops to Afghanistan because it's just wasting our money. Especially, in this moment, when we are having difficulties with our economy, we shouldnt waste our money for sending our troops there and let 'em die.

  19. I think Obama is doing a great job by sending people over to Afghanistan because that way it's helping the troops that are over there.Plus we have been wasting to much time trying to come up with one decision. That will hopefully soon make up there minds and send the troops to Afghanistan.

  20. I really just think that this whole Afghanistan thing is too long and dragged out. I believe that Obama is doing an excellent job, and I support every decision he makes because he knows what's right for this country. As far as their region goes, they just need to man up and deal with it themselves. It's not our fault their government sucks, so we just need to get ourselves out of their affairs, and concentrate on our failing economy.

  21. I think we should stay in the Afghanistan mainly because I believe in whatever Obama does. He does the right thing most of the time. I heard a saying that,"To destroy something, you first have to destroy its roots. Or else it is still there and one day you are going to regret it." So if the Taliban is the source of all the terrorism around the world, i think they should be destroy from the root so there would be nothing left that threat our homeland security.

  22. I think that this is a bad idea because we are wasting money on other countries, but at the same time I think that we should send our troops home to their families. the war should be done. but at the other hand i think that we should save our money to make the economic better. So our people wont lose their job
